The Chase

SWIM's second single, The Chase, was written by all members of the band, slowly coming together section-by-section. The song speaks to the indescribable feeling we all experience in the early stages of a romance, highlighting the rush that accompanies “the chase” which usually culminates in the start of a relationship. However, McCaffrey highlights uncertainty and self-doubt instead, leaving it up to the listener to determine what ultimately happens between the narrator and the elusive “Kathleen.” What started as a simple chord progression would be recorded and polished from late 2018 into early 2019.

SWIM consists of Dan McCaffrey(Vocals), Nick Riviezzo(Guitar), Pat Morelli(Bass, Keys) and Brian D'Angio(Drums). The band draws influence from other bands such as Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Strokes, The Kooks, The Lumineers, Neon Trees, and Coldplay. SWIM is currently playing shows in support of their most recent release as the begin to conceptualize their first full-length album.
